Housing and Dining

Housing

At NMH Summer, dorms are led by resident heads and teaching fellows, who are there to provide guidance and answer questions. Advisors connect closely with students, creating a supportive community and helping you feel at home.

Dorms are separated by gender, with separate dorms for middle and high school students. Most students share a double room with one roommate.

Dining

Alumni Dining Hall

Summer is a time of natural bounty in the Connecticut River Valley, and NMH Summer students are the beneficiaries, enjoying plenty of local produce — including from NMH’s own campus farm — in your daily meals. You’ll eat most of your meals in  Alumni Hall, where our dining staff prepares hot food that caters to many tastes and dietary restrictions. (Families should note any allergies on your student’s medical forms to ensure proper accommodations.) Popular options include the extensive self-service salad, cereal, and deli bars; soft-serve ice cream; and weekly “Sundaes on Sunday.”

Mealtimes at NMH Summer are tech-free: Put away your electronics and talk with your new friends!

Red Truck Cafe

Evenings at NMH Summer feature many pop-up Red Truck Cafe events, with ice cream floats, cheeseburgers, regional favorite Fenway frank hot dogs, pizza, our famous doughnuts, and more. Occasionally, students take over the kitchen to prepare and share a taste of home with your friends and advisors, including at our annual Festival of Nations.

NMH Campus Store

The campus store is open weekdays for grab-and-go snacks or treats, as well as toiletries, school supplies and plenty of NMH gear.
