Saturday Seminars

NMH Summer’s Saturday Morning Seminars focus on self-advancement and growth. In the afternoon, you can choose among several fun trips.

College Prep

For students entering grades 10 - 12.

Designed by NMH’s college counseling team, our College Prep workshop will boost your confidence about the college application process. You’ll get a better understanding of your goals, strengths and who you are as a scholar, helping you identify colleges that fit your ambitions, complete strong applications, and distinguish yourself among a highly competitive field.

The program includes lectures, writing workshops, visits to local colleges, discussions about domestic and international opportunities, and meetings with admission officers. For students interested in our performing arts and athletics programs, we’ll focus on auditions and recruitment.  At the end of the program, we’ll host a college fair, with more than 25 selective colleges and universities from New England and around the country.

Identify Y.O.U.

For students entering grades 7 - 9.

In Identify Y.O.U., you’ll gain a better understanding of who you are, as an individual and as part of a community. We’ll explore topics such as wellness, motivation, empathy, leadership, community, and belonging, in a safe, supportive environment.

In dorm, advisory, and all-campus meetings, you’ll collaborate, reflect on discussion topics, and take part in activities such as campus-wide scavenger hunts, meditation, yoga, poetry, dance, and theater improv games.

After your Saturday morning seminar, choose from a variety of different off-campus trips and on campus events.
